Camp weTALK

A camp designed for children diagnosed with childhood apraxia of speech.

Camp weTALK runs two weeks for children ages 5 - 12.

July 15 - July 26 (M-F 8:45 - 12:00 daily)

Cost:  $1400

Where: Child Development Center of Marin (Mill Valley, Ca)

 

Camp weeTALKers runs one week for children 3 - 4

July 29 - Aug 2 (M-F 8:45 - 12:00 daily)

Cost: $700

Where: Child Development Center of Marin (Mill Valley, Ca)

Camp includes a motor speech evaluation using the Dynamic Evaluation of Motor Speech Skills (DEMSS) and treatment using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cuing (DTTC).  Camp will complete with a graduation ceremony, a certificate of accomplishment, and an updated written report.

Daily Activities:

Morning routines (including letters/phonemes of the day)

Two 30 min 1:1 DTTC speech sessions

Snack

Arts/Crafts

Literacy activity - Orton Gillingham

Evidence based materials.  Camp is run by SLP, Kelsey McKee and graduate student interns treat and assess 1:1 with guidance from SLPs specializing in the assessment and treatment of children with CAS.

Raising Readers Camp

Kinder Readiness Camp

Short Vowel:  Runs M-F 9:00am - 12:00pm
Learn short vowels, consonants, and sight words (1st and 2nd grade) in this activity based camp while having fun reading!

Long Vowel:  Runs M-F 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Learn long vowel patterns, consonant clusters and digraphs, and sight words (2nd and 3rd grade) in this activity based camp while having fun reading!

Kindergarten Readiness is a camp that practices Kindergarten skills such as sequencing, math, stories, letters, etc while having fun in games and crafts.
M-F 9:00 - 12:00 - $400
